Your ancient kingdoms fade away,
As warmth invades the Arctic day.

Cry, o sphere, with winds that roar,
Through icebergs cracking at their core.
The poles, once proud in silent grace,
Now tremble in the human race.

Cry, o sphere! Your voice is known,
In every creak of melting stone.
But will we heed the call you sing,
Before you vanish in the spring?
